This is Keano
Keano belongs to Fran, our office manager, and he’s a seven and a half year old Labrador.
He has been recently diagnosed with early elbow arthritis which causes him to show bouts of lameness.
We have started giving him physiotherapy and laser treatment. This should improve the strength and suppleness of the muscles around the joint and will then help the comfort and function of the elbow. The laser causes an increase in blood flow which will help with the motility.
We are encouraging more of our patients to undergo physiotherapy and are pleased with the results so far.
If you have any questions about therapies for arthritis and joint pain please ask at any of our surgeries.
