Miss Janet Mathews – BVetMed MRCVS
Partner

Janet has gained over 30 years experience as a small animal vet. Over this time she has developed a great interest in cardiology.
Janet enjoys horse riding and is a keen dressage competitor.

Miss Susanne Ackroyd – BSc BVSc MRCVS
Partner

Susie graduated from Liverpool Veterinary University in 2008 after pursuing a degree in Biochemistry with Medical Biochemistry from Cardiff.
She enjoys performing all aspects of surgery at the practice and is a Partner at Haven Vets.
Susie always has a smile on her face. A lot of her spare time is taken up outdoors with her Smooth Collie rescue dog ‘Belle’.

Jamie Bishop – BVetMed MRCVS
Vet

Jamie arrived at Haven in 2011 after graduating from the Royal College of London. He carries out consultations and surgery.
Jamie has an interest in Neurology along with Canine Medicine, and he enjoys golf, rugby and sports out of work.

Hannah Taylor-Lewis – RVN A1 C-SQP First Aider
Head Nurse

Hannah has been with us since before the start of her training in 2003. Hannah is our Head Veterinary Nurse, and she is also a fully qualified A1 assessor and C-SQP with AMTRA. Hannah has developed a great interest in wound healing and as a result has studied this further.
She is responsible for running the nurse afternoon clinics. For our bilingual Client Hannah also speaks fluent welsh. She has a young daughter who takes up a lot of her spare time! She also loves horse riding to help her relax.

Laura Smith – SQP
Veterinary Nurse

Laura has been with us since 2012. Laura has begun her Veterinary Nursing training with us. She enjoys horse riding and has her own horse named ‘Dawn’ and a cat called ‘Tally’.
Laura enjoys music festivals outside of work keeping up to date with new bands.

Between them they are responsible for all reception duties, staff, accounts, administration and insurance and much more!

Jacqui has been a part of the Haven Vets team since 2014 and is one of our evening receptions at our Llanelli branch. Jacqui enjoys seeing the variety of animals that come into our practice, and always has a smile on her face.
At home Jacqui has 3 dogs, Toby, Eddie and Tootsie, and a budgie to keep her busy.
