Miss Susanne Ackroyd – BSc BVSc GPCert(SAS) MRCVS
Partner

Susie graduated from Liverpool University in 2008 and joined Haven in 2009 after working for a corporate company. Susie was keen to find a practice that provided a much more personal level of care as an independent, locally owned practice which she found in Haven.

She settled with Haven and was offered a partnership in 2014 alongside Janet which she jumped at. It had always been a dream of hers to enter a partnership from a young age, allowing her to provide the kind of care and treatment that she would want for her own animals.

Whilst developing the partnership at Haven, Susie also pursued two further years of studying to gain a post graduate Small Animal Surgery Certificate allowing her to improve both her surgical skills and knowledge. Susie is always keen to continue developing new skills and has always had a keen interest in eye conditions. As a result she is now studying towards a Certificate in Ophthalmology.

Susie spends a lot of her spare time with her two dogs Belle and Agnes exploring new places. She enjoys running and is a member of the local running club entering half marathons and club races.

The staff at Haven vets have always provided great care and compassion to my cat and are clearly animal lovers. My cat came in to Haven vets as a stray, they cared for her for a month before I got to be the lucky one to bring her home. Not many vets would have done this.
